Overview

Eliot has a broad practice, including in class actions, commercial disputes, professional negligence and conduct, employment and public law. He accepts briefs in all courts and tribunals, and regularly advises and appears led and unled in the Federal Court and Supreme Court of NSW.

Eliot has particular expertise in representative proceedings and other complex civil litigation, and is recognised by Doyle’s Guide as a leading class actions junior counsel in Australia.

Prior to coming to the bar, Eliot practised as a solicitor in Sydney, Melbourne and London, specialising in class actions and financial services litigation. He also served as tipstaff to Justice RA Hulme of the NSW Supreme Court and as an advisor to the Commonwealth Government.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours I) from Sydney University and a Master of Laws (Distinction) from University College London.
